A Love So Rare...

A love like ours is so sweet,

Your beauty so bright, fills up my sight,

Your love for me, is so divine,

Our love so strong, we'll never part,

No one can take it, not even time.

Your gentle touch, my heart it soothes,

Your love for me, it never moves.

From dawn to dusk, none can defeat.

We laugh, we smile and never frown,

As we share our love all around.

Your heart so delightful, the perfect treat.

We dance in the moonlight, stars above,

Till the morning sun, with it's warming love.

Our bond so deep, it won't fit the chart.

The love we share, just can't compare,

My heart it swells, with a love so rare.

In the golden lights of a Kampala evening, where the sun kissed the rooftops of a bustling town, we crossed paths for the first time. The day was warm, the air thick with the heat of a scorched city, yet we found a haven—a cool, quiet corner where the world slowed down. Here, we shared a Persian feast, rich and fragrant, and raised our glasses in a toast. Not to love, not just yet, but to the promise of something that was about to bloom.

Our Genesis

Weeks passed like whispered secrets in the night before our meetings became regular. It was as if the universe had conspired in its own mysterious way, weaving threads of fate that brought two strangers together. How did we meet? Ah, you ask. Well...what God has ordained will no doubt come to pass. And so it did.

Our lives were as different as day and night, our worlds divided by the same city, each with its own rhythm and crowd. The odds were stacked high against our meeting, but God had a plan. Through the most unlikely of messengers—who prefers to remain in the shadows—our paths converged. A fleeting exchange, a passing moment, and a set of digits scribbled down. From there, a connection sparked, or so one of us believed. Ah, the laughter that memory brings!

It wasn’t until weeks later that we finally stood face to face. One of us hesitant, nerves dancing just beneath the surface (I'll keep their secret safe). But when the moment arrived, it was as if we had been waiting for each other our whole lives. God has a way of bringing together even the most distant of souls, those meant to find one another despite the odds.

“For as a young man marries a young woman, so shall your sons marry you, and as the bridegroom rejoices over the bride, so shall your God rejoice over you."

— Isaiah 62:5
